Last Friday my dad, Josh, and Josh's dad started tearing out our kitchen. We had started a little bit before harvest and torn out a chimney and a few cupboards, but this began the real project. By Saturday night the kitchen was down to the studs. Electricians came on Monday and started rewiring the kitchen. Dad has been here every day working while Josh and I are at work. Maybe we will have cabinets on the wall by next weekend.
WOW! I can't wait to see it all finished. It'll be fabulous. Did you know I bought an entire kitchen off craigslist from a guy in Lincoln? I'm refinishing the cabinets now. We are not as far into the remodel as you are. I'm so glad you have your parents to help you with your project!
I did know that Terri, that is kind of what started my quest for some used cabinets. Good luck with your project. We couldn't do it without our parents help for sure. All of the sheet rock is on and they got the first coat of mud on the walls today! More pictures this weekend.
We live in Rural Southwest Nebraska and enjoy our rural way of life. Josh & I were both raised on farms and we want our boys to be raised with the same life style and work ethic.
Josh works for Hansen Farms and loves every minute of it. He also is a Seed Advisor for Garst Seed. I help out at my Mother-in-Law's restaurant and spend the rest of my time homeschooling our children.
The twins Nate and Cliff are 12 and are in 6th grade. They are in Boy Scouts and Tai Kwan Do.
Ryan is almost 4 now and is a real joy for us. His little quips keep us in stitches and his antics always have the motive to help, even if they don't help.
Lane is fast approaching two and is moving in to take over for Ryan's orneriness.
This is us and our crazy life!
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they can not fathom what God has done from beginning to end. ~Ecclesiastes 3:11~
