Pumpkin Run

The Taylor Boys ran in the Pumpkin Run on Saturday. Cody and Collin came down from Brownlee to take part and Nate and Cliff. Here they are before the race: Cody, Nate, Cliff, and Collin

Collin coming up to the finish line with Uncle Jake and Grandpa running along side.
Nate is the one in red back a little bit.
Some how, I missed Cody and Cliff coming up to the finish line. They usually run together. All of the boys did a great job and we are so proud of them!!!

Daniel Study

I am joining many of the ladies from our church in a Daniel Bible Study via correspondence course. I wanted so badly to drive to Imperial on Wednesday evenings to join them, but it just was not working out. Terri got me the Cd's so that I can listen to them and do the homework even though I am not there. I had an hour of uninterrupted drive time this morning, so I listened to Session 2. It is so AWESOME!!!! I am so excited about what God is teaching me and that a group of us 38 (last I knew) strong can study this together! It is so powerful! Thanks Terri for making sure that I could participate when I was going to give up.

It's Harvest Time!!

Hi all! Time for a Taylor family update......Joshua had an unfortunate situation occur at work last week. He now has a 30 day vacation from the rail road. My dad was really needing some help to get started with harvest, so Josh will be spending his weeks in Dundy County and coming home on Saturday nights. While this is not the most ideal of circumstances, God always has a plan. We had signed up for a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University class on Sunday nights. Josh had been working a day shift Sunday - Thursday, so a Sunday evening class was doable. They rebid last week and he is now on a night shift Sunday - Thursday. I went to the first class by myself. Anyway, because of the layoff, Josh got to go with me last night and will get to go every week until he goes back to work! We need this class desperately, so I am very excited. I think Josh enjoyed it more than he thought he would.

The boys are tickled because they get to have a cute little babysitter every Sunday evening.

Imaginations at work

We have a new rule at our house. No television on a school night. We also have culled the toys a little bit. It has been so peaceful at our house since we did this. Hardly any bickering and no knock down drag outs. Anyway, the twins hauled a box out of the basement and turned it into "Arbys". Take note of the menu, they had clippers, a computer, a tv, and numerous other silly things. Josh and I were going to ship them to grandma's, but we decided that it would be to expensive to ship 140 pound. Grandma said she would not accept the package unless Ryan was in there too.

Sick Boy

Ryan came home from Vicki's early on Friday because he was running a fever and had a rash. The fever finally went away on Saturday night, but he still has the rash today. I took him to the doctor yesterday and they said it was some sort of viral thing. Here is Ryan and Daddy sleeping when I got home from work on Friday.

Engineer School

My sweet husband is away at Engineer School this week. He left yesterday and with be home on Thursday. Please pray for him as he is studying. There are a lot of rules and regulations that he has to learn. The test will be on Thursday and his test run will be on Friday unless something changes between now and then. He is so excited! Do you know how much more horse power there is in a locomotive than a Semi Truck? Me either, but I pretend to be as excited as he is. I am excited because it makes him happy.

I'm Holding On

Josh has been putting Ryan on his shoulders that last few days, but has decided that he needs a hair cut so that Ryan does not have so much to hold onto.
