Engineer School

My sweet husband is away at Engineer School this week. He left yesterday and with be home on Thursday. Please pray for him as he is studying. There are a lot of rules and regulations that he has to learn. The test will be on Thursday and his test run will be on Friday unless something changes between now and then. He is so excited! Do you know how much more horse power there is in a locomotive than a Semi Truck? Me either, but I pretend to be as excited as he is. I am excited because it makes him happy.

I'm Holding On

Josh has been putting Ryan on his shoulders that last few days, but has decided that he needs a hair cut so that Ryan does not have so much to hold onto.

Sitting Up

Ryan is sitting up a little bit. He still doesn't have complete control, but he can last a little bit. Part of the problem is that he would rather stand. I didn't get a picture of it, but right before this, he was standing straight up unassisted.

Soccer

Nate and Cliff had a soccer game in Grant on Saturday afternoon. They both really love the game and are doing so well. We are so proud of them. Here they are with their coach Bill. We really appreciate him. He is very good with the kids.

To Grandma's House

On Friday Ryan's Vicki was sick with the flu, so he got a spur of the moment visit to Grandma Taylor's house. The rest of us went after work/school and spent the night. Nate and Cliff road the bus home from school and did very well on their own for a few hours. They are looking forward to doing that more. Here is Ryan and Daddy telling Grandpa Good Morning. They were the sleepy heads. Everyone else had already had breakfast by the time they made it upstairs.

First Words

I forgot to post, last week Ryan said his first "word". Dada of course. He also says Baba. I think that is supposed to be brother. No Mama yet. Sigh! All I am good for is nourishment. Still no teeth, but he doesn't seem to be as miserable with them as he was a few weeks ago. He is eating "solid" food like crazy. We have been amazed at his appetite in the last few days. He got his "big boy" car seat. Per Brooke's advise I got a Britax. I found one on clearance for a good price. He can rear face until 35 pounds in it. It seems to be much more comfortable for him.

Various family pictures

Grandma Taylor came to take care of Ryan for the day and the twins after school on Friday. Here she is reading Prevention magazine to Ryan.

I think they are tired.
Crashed!

Aren't they cute! The three
